WaterPro PLUS Service Agreements provide comprehensive coverage that protects YOUR customers' boat, yacht or personal watercraft's engine, jet pump, lubricating system, drive line system, electrical controls, fuel system, cooling system, electrical system, power trim/tilt and steering.

Eligible craft include new boats, yachts and personal watercraft (personal jet boats, jet skis, and wet bikes) which have at least one year manufacturer's warranty and are 11 months or less from the original manufacturer's warranty start date. Watercraft up to three model years old are considered "new" if they are leftover sales, have never been put in the water and are 11 months or less from the original manufacturer's warranty start date.

Boats and yachts that are powered by inboard/outboard (stern drives) and inboards with up to twin 425 hp are eligible as are boats and yachts powered by outboard motors with up to twin 300 hp.

Boats and yachts refitted with new outboard motors from the dealer are eligible for "outboard motor only" coverage.

Ineligible Risks
  • Boats, yachts and personal watercraft used commercially or for racing or for any use other than private passenger pleasure boating.
  • Any high performance watercraft regardless of factory warranty.
  • Boats, yachts and personal watercraft with alterations or modifications not suggested by the manufacturer.
  • Outboard motors not factory or dealer installed.
  • Boats, yachts and personal watercraft that have no remaining manufacturer warranty.

Coverage Provided

WaterPro PLUS Service Agreements provides comprehensive coverage for the boat, yacht or personal watercraft's engine, transmission, V-Drive, jet drive, power trim/tilt, controls, lubricating system, drive line system, electrical system, fuel system, cooling system, stern drive units, outboard lower units and steering.

The WaterPro PLUS Service Agreement for "outboard motors only" provides protection for the engine, lubrication system, outboard/sea drive/L-drive lower unit, controls, electrical system, and fuel system.

SPECIFICATIONS
Coverage
Pays the usual and fair charges for parts and labor on covered repairs and covered components due to a mechanical failure and/or breakdown on a covered boat, yacht, or personal watercraft. *

Pick-up, Delivery and Towing Coverage
A pick-up and delivery allowance is provided to personal watercraft up to a maximum of $50. A towing allowance is provided to boats and yachts up to $150 per occurrence. *
Hoist/Haul-Out Coverage
A hoist/haul-out allowance up to a $150 maximum is automatically included for boats and yachts. *
Blocking Fees Coverage
An allowance of $1.00 per foot of the watercraft's hull length up to a maximum of $50 is automatically included for boats and yachts. *
Transferability
  • The WaterPro PLUS Service Agreement for boats and yachts is transferable to a second "retail purchaser" for the remaining term ---thus enhancing the boat or yacht's resale value. *
  • The WaterPro PLUS Service Agreement for personal watercraft is non-transferable. *
Cancellation
Any WaterPro PLUS Service Agreement may be cancelled at any time with a pro-rata return premium (less a nominal $25 cancellation processing fee) paid back to the insured. *
Deductibles
The $25 deductible "per repair visit" for mechanical breakdowns does not apply to pick-up/delivery, towing, hoist/haulout or blocking fee coverages.
Optional Packages
For added protection, numerous "optional" packages are available; however, they must be purchased at the time of the original application and cannot be purchased separately. Sample packages include:

  3. Sport Package
  4. Cruiser Package
  5. Auxiliary Generator


Terms:

WaterPro PLUS Service Agreements are for three or five year terms (three years on personal watercraft only).
